Introducing The North & The South Tri Series
For the first time in our history, the Race to Belek Series will now feature two distinct tri series - The North & The South. This strategic expansion to six venues across these regions is a testament to our vision of making golf more accessible, competitive, and enjoyable for a greater number of participants. Whether you're in the serene landscapes of the North or the vibrant courses of the South, the opportunity to showcase your talent and passion for golf has never been closer to home.

The Inaugural Liwaa Cup
Elevating the competitive spirit of the MGA, we are proud to introduce the Liwaa Cup for the very first time. This two-day team format event draws inspiration from the iconic Ryder Cup, tailored to embody the spirit and values of the Muslim Golf Association. The top four golfers in each division from both The North and The South will go head-to-head in a thrilling showdown to crown the ultimate golfing region of the UK. Qualification for the Liwaa Cup is exclusively merit-based, ensuring that only the best of the best will compete for glory and the honor of their region.

The Tournament
We're thrilled to announce an exciting expansion of our golfing events for the year: introducing two Tri Series - The North & The South, along with six exclusive Golf Days. This broadened scope offers more opportunities for golfers to engage in spirited competition across various stunning courses.
The MGA events now feature a more dynamic structure, with competitions split into three handicap divisions.
Division 1: 0 -9.4
Division 2: 9.5 -16.4
Division 3: 16.5- 28
Points are awarded based on performance, with the top player in each division earning 30 points, descending incrementally to subsequent positions. These points accumulate throughout the Race to Belek series, contributing to an annual points tally. The more events you participate in, the greater your chances of climbing the leaderboard.
Moreover, we celebrate excellence at each event with Winners of the Day prizes, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition. For 2024, the maximum handicap is set at 28, ensuring a level playing field for all participants.
A highlight of this year is the introduction of The Liwaa Cup, a prestigious addition where the top 4 from each division from the Tri Series can compete in a team format. This is your chance to showcase your skills, earn points, and potentially secure a spot in this exclusive competition. The Liwaa Cup is not just a trophy; it's a testament to skill, strategy, and the spirit of golfing camaraderie.

All MGA events are reconginised as an official WHS tournament with Enlgand Golf.
FAQs
Absolutely not! All MGA events are open to players from all backgrounds regardless of religion, ethnicity or nationality. MGA events are held upon basic Islamic values hence there will be no alcohol or gambling involved, and prayer arrangements will be made. We ask all our participants to respect these guidelines.
Yes, you can participate in both the North & South Series events. However, points are region-specific, so playing in both will result in separate points totals for each region. For the best chance to win, it’s recommended to compete in all three events of both series. Note, you can only represent one region in The Liwaa Cup.
The 2024 series will be limited to official handicap players only and with a. maximum of 28 handicap.

No. Each day will have its own respected winners. However, to be crowned the Race to Belek champion, the more events you participate in, the higher the chance of you being the winner. We anticipate most players will play all three events.
Yes! You can join as a single golfer – just change the quantity to 1 when you book, we will then pair you up before we draw tee times. We anticipate many single golfers participation in this competition.
Each event will have its own individual winners & runners up of the day in their respected handicap division.
There may also be a nearest to the Pin and Longest drive prize on each day.
However, to be crowned the MGA Champion for your division, we will add your Order of Merit ranking points from all the golf days. The player with the highest combined scores, will be crowned MGA champion.
You will be drawn with players who have a similar handicap to yours. This is to create a competitive environment but also a great chance to meet & network with players of similar ability and test yourself against others.
If the stableford scores are tied the winner will be the one who has the highest score in the final round. If the points are still the same we will do a count-back from 18th hole at the final round. If the best score for the last nine holes does not separate out a winner, then the final six holes are used, and, if that still fails to provide a definitive outcome, the final three holes.
All events are taking place on a Friday. We aim to serve breakfast, hit the range and then we will prepare to pray Jummah. After jummah we then tee off with a shotgun start. Once the round is finished dinner will be served as well as prize giving ceremony. (Where applicable) We encourage you to take advantage of the exclusive MGA hotel discount so you can relax, network and unwind in your own time. A more detailed itinerary will be emailed once you have confirmed your booking.
Yes, the maximum is 28. Should your handicap be higher than 28 you can still participate but it will be capped at 28.
No – all putts must be holed out.
All MGA events are run with Live scoring through your smartphone. You will have updated handicaps already created and scores will automatically be adjusted through our app. There will be a live leaderboard available throughout the event. No need for you to work out the score on each hole. Just enjoy the game. It’s hard enough as it is!
We are looking to plan a trip in Feb 2025. We are awaiting final details from our travel provider and will confirm shortly. There will also be a separate MGA Winter Tour organised too, watch this space.

All rounds of the MGA Race to Belek will be managed with Live scoring provided exclusively to MGA. This will include Live Mobile Scoring, Live leader boards both during and after events.
