You are invited to participate in one of the most eagerly awaited amateur golf tournaments in the UK. We are thrilled to announce that the MGA Open 2024 will be hosted this year at the prestigious The Belfry - PGA National. With its inland links appearance, this championship golf course presents a unique challenge with fast running fairways, undulating greens, severe run-offs and its 70 strategically placed cavernous bunkers. Hosting two European Tour golf events, the PGA National is fast becoming one of the top golf courses in the United Kingdom. Recognised by the PGA as a world-class tournament course, and the only PGA golf course in England, it is a must for golfers who enjoy the creativity required for links golf. Limited Day Passes are now available for those not wishing to stay.

The Tournament

Two-Day Strokeplay

  • Registration will open at 9am
  • Practice begins
  • 11:25am – 1:15pm Tee off
  • Use of Spa & Leisure facilities
  • 8:00pm –  Private dinner
  • 5:00am – Fajr  prayer
  • 8:00am – 10am Breakfast
  • Use of Spa & Leisure facilities
  • 11:45am – 1:35pm – Tee off
  • The final day will be sent out to leaderboard standings. Those towards the lower end will go out first and the leading packs will tee off last.
  • 6:00pm – Trophy presentation + Snacks
  • Your package will include the following:
  • Free range balls on both days.
  • Leaderboard start on Monday.
  • Private dinner on Sunday evening
  • Overnight stay with breakfast in Hotel (onsite).
  • Live Scoring throughout event.
  • Lunch after round on Monday.
  • Trophy Presentation.
  • There is a maximum limit of handicap index of 28 for this tournament.
  • Players will play 95% of their handicap.
  • This will be an authorised Tournament where all scores will be recorded and submitted to WHS via England Golf.
  • There will be two winners – a Gross & Net Winner.

As with all MGA events Live scoring will be present proving a real time overview of the leaderboard on both days.
