No. Each day will have its own respected winners. However, to be crowned the Race to Belek champion, the more events you participate in, the higher the chance of you being the winner. We anticipate most players will play all three events.

Yes! You can join as a single golfer – just change the quantity to 1 when you book, we will then pair you up before we draw tee times. We anticipate many single golfers participation in this competition.

Each event will have its own individual winners & runners up of the day in their respected handicap division.

There may also be a nearest to the Pin and Longest drive prize on each day.

However, to be crowned the MGA Champion for your division, we will add your scores from all the golf days. The player with the highest combined, Stableford scores, will be crowned MGA champion.

You will be drawn with players who have a similar handicap to yours. This is to create a competitive environment but also a great chance to meet & network with players of similar ability and test yourself against others.

If the stableford scores are tied the winner will be the one who has the highest score in the final round at Brocket Hall. If the points are still the same we will do a count-back from 18th hole at Brocket Hall. If the best score for the last nine holes does not separate out a winner, then the final six holes are used, and, if that still fails to provide a definitive outcome, the final three holes.

All events are taking place on a Friday. We aim to serve breakfast, hit the range and then tee off with a shotgun start. Once the round is finished we will prepare to pray Jummah and lunch will be served as well as prize giving ceremony. We can encourage you to take advantage of the exclusive MGA hotel discount so you can relax, network and unwind in your own time. A more detailed itinerary will be emailed once you have confirmed your booking.

Yes, the maximum is 28. Should your handicap be higher than 28 you can still participate but it will be capped at 28.

No – all putts must be holed out.

All MGA events are run with Live scoring through your smartphone. You will have updated handicaps already created and scores will automatically be adjusted through our app. There will be a live leaderboard available throughout the event. No need for you to work out the score on each hole. Just enjoy the game. It’s hard enough as it is!

We are looking to plan a trip in Feb 2024. We are awaiting final details from our travel provider and will confirm shortly. There will also be a separate MGA Winter Tour organised too, watch this space.

FINAL ROUND - Hertfordshire

Sept 1st, Brocket Hall

Brocket Hall

The Melbourne Course

Hertfordshire, Sept 1st 2023

18 Holes
Par 72 6,707 Yards Parkland

Fitting venue for a fitting final

The par 72 Melbourne Course was opened in June 1992 and is the handiwork of design duo and former Ryder Cup golfers Peter Alliss and Clive Clark. Both Alliss and Clark have spent many years excelling in various areas of the golf industry, and their encyclopaedic knowledge of the game shines through as soon as you set foot on the course. The course provides an enjoyable challenge in stunning surroundings, crossing the River Lea on four occasions as you follow the natural contours of the Estate, before a memorable finish in front of the Hall after a short ferry ride to the 18th green. The Capibility Brown inspired parkland can truly be experienced in the Melbourne course, with the sweeping lawns, clumps of well placed trees and meandering river, challenging golfers to think about each and every shot. The renowned practice facilities of The Melbourne Club Golf Academy and a charmingly positioned luxury Clubhouse on the banks of the Broadwater Lake make The Melbourne Club one of the UK’s most exclusive golf venues.

18th hole

The 18th hole is one of the finest closing holes in golf. This teasing downhill par 5 apears straightforward enough from the tee. A solid drive down the left and over the brow of the hill will leave a dilemma for all but the very best golfers. The question is; to lay up or go for it? Whatever the answer is, there will be enough time to spare for reflection for when you are carried across the River Lea by a ferry to complete the hole.

world class practice facilities

Brocket hall has state-of-the-art practice facilities that include a long game zone, a short game zone, a chipping and bunker zone, a putting zone, a par 3 seven-hole zone. if practice is your thing then you will be in Disneyland!

home to rose ladies series

Kate and Justin have secured Brocket Hall as hosts for the next 2 years, working together with the venue to build on the solid foundations of the 2022 tournament and make the 2023 event bigger and better.

stunning design

A wonderful setting, excellent design - the Melbourne course being the work of the legendary Paeter Alliss and Clive Clark - and a proud reputation have made other golf courses in the country as green as the luscious, meticulously tended-to grass at Brocket Hall. The Melbourne one perhaps being the more famous of the two.
